The Twinsburg Tigers will venture away from home to take on the Hoover Vikings at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. Twinsburg is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 6.2 runs per game this season.
Hoover will square off against a team with plenty of momentum: Twinsburg extended their winning streak to three on Thursday. Everything went the Tigers' way against Solon as they made off with an 8-2 victory. The Tigers might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won six games by six runs or more this season.
Lucas Tinter tossed a big game, tossing five innings while giving up just one earned (and one unearned) run off three hits. He has been consistent: he hasn't given up more than one earned run in six consecutive appearances.

On the hitting side, the team relied heavily on William Bamler, who went 2-for-3 with one home run, four RBI, and two runs. Those four RBI gave him a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Kyler Hoon, who went 1-for-3 with two RBI, one run, and one double.
Perry hit Hoover with a five-run third inning on Thursday, which goes a long way in explaining the final result. The Vikings fell just short of the Panthers by a score of 6-4. Vikings fans who chose to attend the game sure picked the wrong one: it was the first time the team's lost against the Panthers since on Thursday.
Ryan Cervenak made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and went 2-for-4 with two runs, one triple, and one double. That triple was his first of the season.
Twinsburg's win bumped their record up to 12-6. As for Hoover, their defeat ended a four-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 13-9.
The batters for both teams will have to hit smart on Friday as both have some strikeout artists on the roster. Twinsburg has been retiring batters left and right this season, having averaged 7.4 strikeouts per game. However, it's not like Hoover struggles in that department as they've been averaging 8 strikeouts. Considering how easily both teams rack up Ks, the hitters on both teams better bring their A-game into this one.
Twinsburg beat Hoover 6-3 in their previous meeting back in May of 2024. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Tigers since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
