The Mourning Sharks suffered their biggest defeat since December 12, 2023 on Thursday. They were the victim of a tough 74-48 defeat at the hands of Hialeah. Mourning has not had much luck with Hialeah recently, as the team's come up short the last two times they've met.
Despite the loss, Mourning still got an impressive performance from Kristopher Jean-Jacques, who scored 16 points. Jean-Jacques is trending in the right direction, as he's improved his point production for three games straight. Ayden Chapa was another key contributor, scoring 11 points.
Mourning's defeat dropped their record down to 3-9. As for Hialeah, their victory bumped their record up to 9-7.
Mourning will stay at home for another game and welcome Central at 5:00 p.m. on January 30th. As for Hialeah, they will head out on the road to face off against Northwestern at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Northwestern has been dominant on offense recently, as they've racked up an incredible 337 points over their last five matchups.
