Aspermont has enjoyed the comforts of home their last two games, but now they'll head out on the road. They will take on the Newcastle Bobcats at 7:15 p.m. on Friday.
Aspermont suffered their biggest defeat yet this season on Tuesday. They were the victim of a rough 62-38 defeat at the hands of Knox City. Aspermont has struggled against Knox City recently, as their game on Tuesday was their third consecutive lost matchup.
Despite the loss, Aspermont had strong showings from Seth Johnson, who scored 14 points, and Jaxon Hodges, who scored 12 points along with six rebounds and two steals.
Meanwhile, Newcastle beat Bryson 53-41 on Tuesday. The victory was just what Newcastle needed coming off of a 80-45 defeat in their prior contest.
Aspermont's defeat ended a six-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 14-8. As for Newcastle, their win bumped their record up to 6-10.
Everything came up roses for Aspermont against Newcastle when the teams last played back in November of 2020 as the team secured a 49-12 victory. Does Aspermont have another victory up their sleeve, or will Newcastle turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
