It was a good run, but the Christ School Greenies unfortunately witnessed the end of their eight-game winning streak on Thursday. They took a 66-55 hit to the loss column at the hands of Eagle's Landing. Having run the score up that high, both teams might be doing some extra defensive drills very soon.
Several Greenies players turned in solid performances, despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Zymicah Wilkins, who scored 13 points along with eight rebounds and four blocks. Those four blocks set a new season-high mark for him. Another player making a difference was Jamari Briggs, who scored 16 points along with five rebounds.
Christ School's loss dropped their record down to 10-2. As for Eagle's Landing, their victory bumped their record up to 6-4.
Christ School won't have much time to rest: their next game is against North Gwinnett at 11:15 a.m. on December 22nd. North Gwinnett has been dominant on offense recently, as they've racked up an incredible 205 points over their last three matches. Eagle's Landing will be staying on the road on Friday to face off against Walton at 7:45 p.m. on December 22nd. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in Georgia (Walton is ranked 37th, while Eagle's Landing is ranked 53rd).
