Things haven't been easy for Lawrence, and their match on Friday only extended their streak of losses to five. On Friday, they and Lowell were almost perfectly matched up, but they suffered an agonizing 14-15 defeat. Things were expected to be close, but in this case the state rankings mixed up the winning team.
Lawrence are still searching for that first win as they fell to 0-5. The win bumped Lowell's record up to 2-4.
Both teams are staying within the conference for their upcoming matches. Next week Lawrence take on Methuen at 7:00 PM. Lawrence are catching Methuen at a good time: Methuen have scored fewer and fewer points over their past three games. As for Lowell, they will face off against Andover. Andover are limping into the contest on a three-game losing streak.
