The New Prairie Cougars's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Tuesday after their third straight loss. They took a serious blow against Penn, falling 72-21. New Prairie was in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 39-13.
Devan Kalicki was New Prairie's leading scorer, having posted eight points.
Brody Wiginton held things down on the boards with four rebounds.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Penn to victory, but perhaps none more so than Dominic Bonner, who scored 13 points. Trey Miller was another key contributor, scoring 14 points.
New Prairie's defeat dropped their record down to 0-3. As for Penn, the victory for they keeps them at an undefeated 4-0.
New Prairie will head out on the road to face off against Bremen at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Penn, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Concord at 7:45 p.m. on Friday. Concord will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Indiana Rankings (they are ranked 146th, while Penn is ranked third).
