The Graham Red Devils suffered their biggest defeat since December 8, 2023 on Friday. They were dealt a 59-17 defeat at the hands of Southeast Alamance. Graham was in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 48-6.
Southeast Alamance found their leader in underclassman Shaniya Paylor, who scored 14 points along with five steals. Paylor continues to roll, besting her previous point total in each of the last three games she's played. Another player making a difference was Clara LaChapelle, who scored 12 points along with seven rebounds and three steals.
Graham has not been sharp recently, as they've lost six of their last seven games, which put a noticeable dent in their 2-11 record this season. As for Southeast Alamance, the victory was the third in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 10-3.
Graham will head out on the road to face off against Eastern Alamance at 1:00 p.m. on Monday. Hopefully Eastern Alamance focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 16 last Wednesday. As for Southeast Alamance, they will play host again and welcome Cummings, where tip off is scheduled for 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Cummings is hoping to put an end to a five-game streak of away losses.
