The Marion H Hawks's game on Saturday was all tied up 21-21 at the half, but sadly for them it didn't stay that way. They fell 42-32 to Columbus HomeSchool. Marion H was given a dose of their own medicine in this game as Columbus HomeSchool apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in February of 2022.
Columbus HomeSchool's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was David Cline, who dropped a double-double on 17 points and 17 rebounds. The game was Cline's eighth in a row with at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Kaden Greenlee, who scored 14 points along with 5 rebounds.
Marion H's defeat dropped their record down to 3-2. As for Columbus HomeSchool, the victory was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 6-2.
Marion H will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Varsity Opponent at 8:00 p.m. on December 13th. Columbus HomeSchool will have some time to savor their victory since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Bluegrass United at 5:00 p.m. on January 6, 2024.
