The Heritage Christian Patriots can now show off seven landslide victories after their most recent game on Saturday. They took their matchup at home with ease, bagging a 106-62 win over Messmer. Winning may never get old, but Heritage Christian sure is getting used to it with their fourth in a row.
It was another big night for Mike Bowen Jr., who dropped a double-double on 25 points and 11 rebounds. He also posted eight assists for the first time this season. Another player making a difference was Alex Trotter, who scored 26 points.
Heritage Christian is on a roll lately: they've won ten of their last 11 contests, which provided a nice bump to their 14-3 record this season. As for Messmer, they have not been sharp recently as the team's lost six of their last seven matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 3-14 record this season.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Heritage Christian will face off against the Challengers at 7:30 p.m. on Monday. Abundant Life knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with flashy point totals in its past ten matchups -- so hopefully the Patriots like a good challenge. Messmer is on the road again on Monday and plays the Hilltoppers at 7:15 p.m. on February 5th. Catholic Central has now lost 18 straight, and the team is hunting for their first win since December 1.
