 On Fairfield's side,  Cohen Yoder was cooking despite his team's loss,   going 1-for-3 with a  home run and three  RBI.
 New Prairie's victory bumped their record up to 9-2. As for Fairfield, their defeat  ended  a  14-game streak of away wins  dating back to last season and  brought them to 9-3.
 Both  teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. New Prairie will take on Mishawaka Marian at 4:00  p.m.  on Monday. As for Fairfield, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Concord at 11:00  a.m.  on Saturday. Fairfield is strutting in with some hitting muscle, as they've averaged 8.7  runs per game  this season.
