The Colony Titans were the 77-57 winner over the Beaumont Cougars when they last played one another back in February of 2019, but their luck changed this time around. Colony fell just short of Beaumont by a score of 60-58. While losing is never fun, Colony can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' California basketball rankings (they are ranked 183rd, while Beaumont is ranked 46th).
Vince tracy Capuras continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines for Beaumont, scoring 26 points along with 4 steals. Capuras is on a roll when it comes to steals, as he's now stole two or more in the last three games he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Payton Joseph, who dropped a double-double on 11 points and 11 rebounds.
Colony's loss dropped their record down to 3-3. As for Beaumont, their win bumped their record up to 7-2.
Colony is on the road again on December 11th and play against Villa Park at 4:30 p.m. on December 11th. Villa Park is coming into the matchup on a four-game losing streak. As for Beaumont, they will head out on the road to face off against Paloma Valley at 6:15 p.m. on Thursday.
