The Owensville Dutchmen will take on the St. Clair Bulldogs at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. Owensville has given up an average of 9 runs per game this season, but Monday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.
Owensville took a loss when they played away from home on Tuesday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Thursday. They won by a run and slipped past Hermann 17-16. The Dutchmen haven't had any issues with the Bearcats recently, as the game was their fifth consecutive victory against them.

Logan Kleekamp looked comfortable as he tossed 1.2 innings while giving up no earned runs off three hits. The dominant performance also gave him a new career-high in strikeouts (four).
On the hitting side, the team relied heavily on Zaiden Gates, who scored three runs and stole four bases while getting on base in five of his six plate appearances. That's the most runs he has posted since back in May of 2024. Another player making a difference was Logan Bailey, who scored three runs and stole two bases while going 3-for-4.
Owensville kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 15 hits. That's the most hits they've managed all season.
Meanwhile, St. Clair was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They were a single run away from ending the streak, but they lost an 8-7 heartbreaker at the hands of St. Charles.
Nate Short led a balanced group of hitters, getting on base in three of his four plate appearances with one home run, three runs, and two RBI. That home run marked the first that he launched this season. Easton Martin was another key player, scoring two runs and stealing a base while getting on base in three of his four plate appearances.
Owensville pushed their record up to 4-4 with the win, which was their eighth straight at home dating back to last season. The home victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they've averaged 10.8 runs this season. As for St. Clair, their loss dropped their record down to 4-4.
