Industrial is 9-1 against Palacios since April of 2016 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Tuesday. The Cobras are taking a road trip to challenge the Sharks at 7:00 p.m. Industrial's pitching crew has only allowed 3.1 runs per game this season, so Palacios' hitters will have their work cut out for them.
Industrial is headed in fresh off scoring the most runs they have all season. Their pitcher stepped up to hand Rice Consolidated a 16-0 shutout on Friday. The victory was familiar territory for the Cobras, who have now won three matches in a row.
The result came thanks to Jace Chaney's shutout, as he gave up just two hits and racked up ten Ks. He has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up more than one earned run in six consecutive appearances.

At the plate, Industrial let Nic Kuchler and Easton Larew run wild. Kuchler went 3-for-5 with four RBI, two runs, and one stolen base, while Larew scored three runs while going 3-for-5. Those three hits gave Kuchler a new career-high. Aiden Janis also deserves some recognition as he brought in his first RBI of the season.
Industrial kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 15 hits. That's the most hits they've managed all season.
Meanwhile, Palacios didn't have quite enough to beat Yoakum on Friday and fell 4-3.
Palacios saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Trey Wexilman, who scored a run while going 1-for-4. Another was Noah West, who got on base in two of his four plate appearances with two stolen bases.
Palacios dropped their record down to 13-8 with the loss, which was their third straight on the road. As for Industrial, their record now sits at 13-4.
Tuesday's game might come down to which pitcher can control the ball better. Industrial has hit smart this season, having averaged an OBP of .474. However, it's not like Palacios struggles in that department as they've averaged .432. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
Industrial suffered a grim 16-6 defeat to Palacios when the teams last played back in March of 2024. Can the Cobras avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
