After a string of 16 wins, the Franklin Indians's good fortune finally ran out on Friday. They were dealt a 70-40 loss at the hands of Parkville. Franklin has struggled against Parkville recently, as their match on Friday was their sixth consecutive lost matchup.
Parkville got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Anthony Council out in front who scored 17 points along with six rebounds and three steals. Another player making a difference was Kyliek Howard, who scored 17 points along with five steals.
Franklin's defeat ended a six-game streak of away wins and brought them to 16-1. As for Parkville, they pushed their record up to 13-3 with that victory, which was their 15th straight at home dating back to last season.
Franklin will be staying on the road on Monday to face off against Hammond on January 29th. Hammond is coming into the contest on a three-game losing streak. As for Parkville, they will head out on the road to square off against Woodlawn at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Woodlawn will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Maryland Rankings (they are ranked 243rd, while Parkville is ranked 78th).
