Softball Recap: Jefferson Has No Trouble Against Benilde-St. Margaret's

Jefferson got themselves on the board against Benilde-St. Margaret on Monday, but Benilde-St. Margaret's never followed suit. They blew past the Red Knights 12-0. Considering the Jaguars have won five matches by more than five runs this season, Monday's blowout was nothing new.

The victory made it two in a row for Jefferson and bumps their season record up to 6-1. Those wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered a grand total of 1 runs in those games. As for Benilde-St. Margaret's, they dropped their record down to 2-6 with the loss, which was their fifth straight on the road.

Coming up, Jefferson will face off against Shakopee at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Jaguars are facing the Sabers at the right time seeing as the Sabers are stuck on a four-game losing streak. As for Benilde-St. Margaret's, they will square off against New Prague at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
