The Penns Grove Red Devils scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Thursday. They came out on top against Salem County Vo-Tech by a score of 69-56. With that win, Penns Grove brought their scoring average up to 50.2 points per game.
Penns Grove was led to victory by Willie Slocum and Giomar Conrad. Slocum scored 11 points along with nine rebounds and three steals, while Conrad scored 19 points along with seven rebounds and four steals. That makes it four consecutive games in which Conrad has scored at least 25% of Penns Grove's points. Another player making a difference was Roman Gipson, who scored ten points along with five rebounds.
The win got Penns Grove back to even at 2-2. As for Salem County Vo-Tech, they still haven't won a game yet this season and fell to 0-4.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Penns Grove will be home for the holidays to greet Cherokee at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday. Salem County Vo-Tech will finish 2023 at home by hosting Camden County Vo-Tech at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday.
