Last Friday, everything came up roses for St. Thomas Aquinas at home against Springfield as the squad secured a 51-8 win.
Meanwhile, Northlake Christian's and Independence's game on Friday was close at halftime, but Northlake Christian turned on the heat in the second half with 29 points. Northlake Christian was the clear victor by a 44-20 margin over Independence. Northlake Christian pushed the score to 37-12 by the end of the third, a deficit Independence cut but never quite recovered from.
St. Thomas Aquinas' victory bumped their record up to 5-5. As for Northlake Christian, the victory makes it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 7-2.
