Denver West has enjoyed a three-game homestand but will soon have to dust off their road jerseys. They will square off against the DSST: College View Wolves at 5:30 p.m. on Monday. Denver West will be strutting in after a victory while DSST: College View will be coming in after a defeat.
Last Saturday, Denver West humbled Lincoln with a 55-22 victory.
Denver West's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Jenny Ruano, who scored 15 points along with 5 assists and 4 steals. Ruano hasn't dropped below two steals for three straight games. Celeste Marquez was another key contributor, scoring 12 points along with 4 steals.
Meanwhile, DSST: College View's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Monday after their third straight loss. They were outmatched by DSST: Montview on the road and fell 46-12. DSST: College View has struggled against DSST: Montview recently, as their matchup on Monday was their fifth consecutive lost matchup.
The losses dropped Denver West to 2-2 and Lincoln to 2-3.
Denver West strolled past DSST: College View when the teams last played back in December of 2022 by a score of 38-20. Does Denver West have another victory up their sleeve, or will DSST: College View turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
