Softball Recap: Seminole Ridge Picks Up Third Consecutive Win

Seminole Ridge waltzed into their matchup on Wednesday with two straight wins... but they left with three. Everything went their way against the Dr. Joaquin Garcia Bulldogs as they made off with a 14-6 victory. Considering the Hawks have won eight contests by more than seven runs this season, Wednesday's blowout was nothing new.

Seminole Ridge got a great performance from Zarah Lee as she tossed five innings while giving up three earned runs off four hits.

At the plate, Seminole Ridge let Ary Nord and Leah Labutka run wild. Nord got on base in four of her five plate appearances with one home run, three RBI, and two runs, while Labutka went 4-for-5 with three runs, three RBI, and one double. That's the most RBI Nord has posted since back in March of 2025. The team also got some help courtesy of Haven Berryhill, who went 3-for-5 with one stolen base, one run, and one RBI.

Seminole Ridge always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .568. They are a perfect 8-0 when they post an OBP of .513 or better.

Seminole Ridge's record is now 10-6. As for Dr. Joaquin Garcia, their loss was their sixth straight at home, which dropped their record down to 4-9.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Seminole Ridge will take on Suncoast at 6:30 p.m. on Monday. As for Dr. Joaquin Garcia, they will face off against West Boca Raton at 6:30 p.m. on Monday. The Bulls have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 7.69 runs per game on average), something the Bulldogs will no doubt try to take advantage of.
