Aqsa is 2-8 against the Stars since December of 2017 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Thursday. The Aqsa Legends will look to defend their home court against the Universal Stars at 4:30 p.m. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.
Aqsa unfortunately witnessed the end of their four-game winning streak on Friday. They took a 47-43 hit to the loss column at the hands of Islamic Foundation.
Despite the defeat, Aqsa saw an underclassman step up: Noor Saleh scored 30 points. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Saleh has scored all season. Fatmah Sughayar was another key contributor, scoring five points.
Meanwhile, Universal's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Monday after their third straight defeat. They had to suffer through a rough 64-15 loss at the hands of Chesterton Academy of the Holy Family. Universal has not had much luck with the recently, as the team's come up short the last four times they've met.
Aqsa's defeat dropped their record down to 6-4. As for Universal, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-8.
Aqsa took their win against the Stars in their previous matchup last Monday by a conclusive 56-31. Will Aqsa repeat their success, or do the Stars have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
