Chaparral waltzed into their match on Saturday with seven straight wins... but they left with eight. They blew past the Lake Belton Broncos 70-48. Given the Bobcats' advantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 303rd, while the Broncos are ranked 672nd), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Chaparral is on a roll lately: they've won ten of their last 13 contests, which provided a nice bump to their 14-8 record this season. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 60.2 points per game. As for Lake Belton, they moved to 12-9 with that loss, which also ended their four-game winning streak.
