Buford is 9-1 against Central since March of 2022 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Tuesday. The Yellow Jackets will head out on the road to face off against the Eagles at 6:30 p.m. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.
Things were looking good for Buford after they put the first run on the board last Friday, but unfortunately for them things went downhill from there. They wound up with the same score they had in their last game (3-2), but sadly the team found themselves on the wrong side of the score this time. Give some credit to the fans of both teams: the last three times they've met, the home team has come away the winner.

Gavin Love was huge while hitting and pitching even without the win. On the mound, he struck out eight batters over six innings while giving up just one earned (and one unearned) run off four hits. With that strong performance, he is now averaging an impressive 5.7 strikeouts per game. He was also stellar in the batter's box, going 2-for-3 with one home run.
Love wasn't the only one making solid contact as three players wound up with at least one hit. One of them was Gavin Lowery, who went 2-for-3 with one double.
Meanwhile, Central was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their fifth straight loss. They came up short against Hartsville, falling 13-4.
Cody Branham was cooking despite his team's loss, going a perfect 2-for-2 with one home run, two runs, and one stolen base. Central is 3-1 when Branham posts two or more runs, but 6-8 otherwise.
Buford now has a losing record of 7-8. As for Central, their record is now 9-9.
Everything went Buford's way against Central in their previous matchup back in April of 2025, as Buford made off with an 11-3 victory. Will the Yellow Jackets repeat their success, or do the Eagles have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
