Hill-Murray barely beat Mahtomedi the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. The Pioneers blew past the Zephyrs 12-6 on Friday. Considering the Pioneers have won five matchups by more than five runs this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.

Hill-Murray is on a roll lately: they've won ten of their last 11 games. That's provided a nice bump to their 12-2-1 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 8.7 runs over those games. As for Mahtomedi, with the loss, they broke their three-game winning streak and moved their record to 11-5.

We've got plenty of inter-conference action coming up soon. Hill-Murray is set to square off against their familiar foe North at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. The timing is sure in the Pioneers' favor as the squad sits on three straight wins at home while the Polars have been banged up by four consecutive losses on the road. Meanwhile, Mahtomedi will take on rival St. Thomas Academy at 4:30 p.m. on Monday.
