The Corinth Holders Pirates lost against the Southeast Raleigh Bulldogs back in December of 2023, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. Corinth Holders fell 49-39 to the Bulldogs. It was the first time this season that Corinth Holders let down their fans at home.
Several Pirates players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Kamea Davis, who scored 12 points along with seven rebounds and two steals. Bella Stromberg was another key contributor, scoring eight points along with six rebounds and two steals.
Corinth Holders' defeat ended a five-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 11-7. As for Southeast Raleigh, their win was their ninth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 13-5.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Corinth Holders won't have much time to rest: their next matchup is against the Rams at 6:15 p.m. on January 31st. Hopefully Cleveland focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 20 on Tuesday. As for Southeast Raleigh, they will be playing at home against the Comets at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Clayton will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps North Carolina Rankings (they are ranked 480th, while the Bulldogs are ranked 104th).
