Baseball Recap: Hauser Picks Up 14th Consecutive Victory

Hauser extended their postseason success on Monday against Oldenburg Academy. They were the clear victors by a 9-1 margin over the Twisters. The result was nothing new for the Jets, who have now won 15 matchups by six runs or more so far this season.

Simeon Wasil made a splash while hitting and pitching. He looked comfortable on the mound, striking out ten batters over seven innings while giving up just one earned run off four hits. He has been nothing but reliable: he hasn't given up more than one earned run in ten consecutive appearances. He was also big at the plate, going 3-for-4 with one home run, three RBI, and two runs. That's the most hits he has posted since back in April.

In other batting news, Stryker Gill was incredible, going a perfect 4-for-4 with one home run, two stolen bases, and three runs. That's the most hits he has posted since back in May of 2024. The team also got some help courtesy of R.J. Foster, who went 2-for-4 with three runs, one double, and one RBI.

Hauser lost a few balls and finished the game with two home runs. That's the most home runs they've managed all season.

The victory was the 14th in a row for Hauser, bringing their record up to 19-3. The wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.0 run on average over those games. As for Oldenburg Academy, their loss dropped their record down to 10-10.

Coming up, Hauser will square off against Knightstown on Saturday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (the Jets 2.1, the Panthers 3.7) so any runs scored will be well earned. Oldenburg Academy does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
