The Jasper Wildcats were the 51-48 winner over the Evansville Harrison Warriors when they last played one another back in February of 2023, but their luck changed this time around. The match between both teams wasn't particularly close, with Jasper falling 62-47. While losing is never fun, they can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Indiana basketball rankings (they are ranked 163rd, while Evansville Harrison is ranked 18th).
Malachi Mcnair was his usual excellent self, dropping a double-double on 21 points and 13 rebounds for Evansville Harrison. Mcnair has been hot recently, having posted 15 or more points the last nine times he's played. Another player making a difference was Shane Sims, who scored 13 points along with eight assists and five rebounds.
Jasper now has a losing record at 6-7. As for Evansville Harrison, their win was their 11th straight at home, which pushed their record up to 12-2.
Jasper will take on Northeast Dubois at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Evansville Harrison, they will head out on the road to take on Evansville Memorial at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Evansville Memorial is coming into the game hot, having won their last five games.
