The Mt. Morris Panthers came into Monday's game having lost four straight, but that streak is now in the rearview. They managed a 57-52 win over Bendle on Monday. The victory was just what Mt. Morris needed coming off of a 52-31 loss in their prior contest.
Bendle's loss came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Malis Firman, who scored ten points along with five assists and four steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Elijah Boyd, who scored 15 points along with two steals.
Mt. Morris' victory ended a three-game drought at home and bumped them up to 10-10. As for Bendle, their defeat dropped their record down to 11-6.
Coincidentally, both teams will both be playing Durand the next time they take the court. Bendle will host Durand at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday, while Mt. Morris will host them at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
