Cathedral Prep is on a six-game streak of home wins, while St. Francis is on a three-game streak of away wins: one of those streaks is about to end. The Ramblers will host the Red Raiders at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. One thing working in Cathedral Prep's favor is that they have posted at least ten runs in their last three matches.
On Monday, Cathedral Prep made easy work of Warren and carried off a 14-4 win. The result was nothing new for the Ramblers, who have now won seven games by seven runs or more so far this season.
Matthew Boam tossed a big game, pitching five innings while giving up three earned (and one unearned) runs off five hits. He has been consistent: he hasn't given up more than one walk in six consecutive appearances.

Cathedral Prep always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .600. That was just more of the same: they've now posted an OBP of .568 or higher in three consecutive contests.
Meanwhile, St. Francis fell victim to Nichols and their airtight pitching crew on Monday. They took a 4-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Vikings. Having soared to a lofty 14 runs in the game before, the Red Raiders' shutout was a dramatic turnaround.
St. Francis saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Luke Panzarella, who got on base in all three of his plate appearances with one stolen base. Dylan Noecker was another, going 2-for-3 with two stolen bases.
Cathedral Prep is on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last eight matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 13-5 record this season. The victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 11.1 runs over those games. As for St. Francis, their defeat dropped their record down to 3-10-1.
St. Francis' pitching crew has a crucial task ahead of them: Cathedral Prep hasn't had any issues making contact this season, having earned a batting average of .350. It's a different story for St. Francis, though, as they've only averaged .196. Will they be able to contain Cathedral Prep's hitters?
Cathedral Prep couldn't quite finish off St. Francis in their previous matchup back in May of 2024 and fell 7-5. Will the Ramblers have more luck at home instead of on the road? Check MaxPreps after the action for a full breakdown of the game and more baseball content.
