The Martin County Cardinals have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won four matchups by 35 points or more this season. They blew past Tug Valley 71-36 on the road. The win made it back-to-back wins for Martin County.
Despite the defeat, Tug Valley saw an underclassman step up: Bailee Hall scored 12 points. The contest was Hall's fourth in a row with at least ten points. Another player making a difference was Brooke Spaulding, who scored four points.
Martin County pushed their record up to 10-3 with that victory, which was their fourth straight on the road dating back to last season. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 64.5 points per game. As for Tug Valley, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-9.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Martin County will take on Phelps at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Tug Valley, they will stay at home for another game and welcome Tolsia at 7:00 p.m. on January 9th.
