The New Milford Green Wave's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Friday after their eighth straight loss. They fell 50-42 to Stratford. New Milford was given a dose of their own medicine in this game as Stratford apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in February of 2023.
Several Green Wave players turned in solid performances, despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Ryder Gee, who scored 13 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Jacob Czupkowski, who scored five points along with eight rebounds and two steals.
New Milford's defeat was their fourth straight on the road, which bumped their record down to 2-8. As for Stratford, their victory bumped their record up to 4-7.
New Milford and Newtown will face off at 7:00 p.m. on January 26th without much rest after finishing up games yesterday. As for Stratford, they will be playing at home against Kolbe-Cathedral at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Kolbe-Cathedral will be coming into the match with an undefeated record on the line.
