Newman Central Catholic never let their opponents score on Wednesday. They were the clear victors by a 13-0 margin over the Forreston Cardinals. Considering the Comets' hitters had been struggling lately, the high-scoring outing was a much-needed turnaround.

Newman Central Catholic got a big performance out of Lucy Oetting, who scored two runs while getting on base in three of her four plate appearances. Anna Propheter was another key player, getting on base in three of her four plate appearances with two runs, one triple, and one RBI.

Newman Central Catholic always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .533. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Forreston only posted an OBP of .267.

Newman Central Catholic's win bumped their record up to 3-5. As for Forreston, they are on an eight-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-8.
