Queen's Grant has won six straight games at home, while Jackson Day has won six straight on the road, but those streaks won't matter much on Saturday. The two teams will face off at 6:00 p.m. without much rest, having both just played. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.
On Friday, Queen's Grant took their match with ease, bagging a 69-7 win over Sugar Creek Charter. Given the Stallions' advantage in MaxPreps' North Carolina basketball rankings (they are ranked 175th, while the Wildcats are ranked 552nd), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Queen's Grant's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Za'Miya Bynum led the charge by dropping a double-double with 33 points and 11 steals. The game was Bynum's 22nd in a row with at least 15 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Misa Garris, who dropped a triple-double with 19 points, 11 assists, and ten steals.
Queen's Grant smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 15 offensive boards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least 11 offensive rebounds in four consecutive contests.
Meanwhile, Jackson Day blew past Piedmont Community Charter, posting a 62-35 victory. The win continues a trend for the Mariners in their matchups with the Patriots: they've now won five in a row.
Queen's Grant better keep an eye on Laylah Toscano. She was instrumental in Jackson Day's win, going 12-for-24 en route to 31 points along with eight boards and four steals. Toscano continues to improve, besting her previous point total in each of the last four games she's played. Tralyn Phillips was another key player, putting up eight points and six assists.
Queen's Grant is on a roll lately: they've won 13 of their last 15 matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 19-4 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 24.5 points over those games. Jackson Day's victory bumped their record up to 19-9.
Queen's Grant didn't have too much breathing room in their game against Jackson Day when the teams last played back in January, but they still walked away with a 44-40 win. Will Queen's Grant repeat their success, or does Jackson Day have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
