Shawnee was not able to break out of their rough patch  on Monday as the team picked up their fifth straight  loss. The  contest between them and the Seneca Red Hawks didn't end well, with the Shawnee Golden Eagles falling  57-41. The Golden Eagles were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Red Hawks apparently hadn't forgotten their  defeat the last time these teams played  back in December of 2023.
 Seneca was led to victory by  Janell Julue and  Arionna Tunstall.  Julue  dropped  a double-double with 15 points and 11  rebounds, while  Tunstall  dropped  a double-double with 21  points and 20  boards. That's the most  rebounds  Julue has posted since back in December of 2024.  Anari Shelton was another key player,  putting up seven points.
Shawnee's loss dropped their record down to 6-19. As for Seneca,  the  win made it two in a row for them and  bumps their season record up to 12-9.
 Both  teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Shawnee will head out to  take on DuPont Manual  at 5:45  p.m.  on Friday. As for Seneca, they are taking a road trip to  face off against Ballard  at 6:00  p.m.  on Thursday. Seneca has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games.
