The Hickory H Hawks will head out on the road to take on Faith Christian Academy at 6:30 p.m. on Monday. Having both just faced considerable losses, both teams are looking to turn things around.
Hickory H unfortunately witnessed the end of their three-game winning streak on Thursday. They took a serious blow against Greater Vision Academy, falling 80-53. Hickory H was in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 47-25.
The losing side was boosted by Tay Early, who scored 22 points along with two steals. He has been hot recently, having posted 15 or more points the last three times he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Thomas Repass, who scored six points along with five rebounds and three steals.
Meanwhile, Faith Christian Academy had to hit the road for their first game and sadly it wasn't the result they were hoping for. They were outmatched by Hickory H on the road and fell 70-29.
Hickory H's defeat ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 7-5. As for Faith Christian Academy, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-1.
Everything came up roses for Hickory H against Faith Christian Academy in their previous meeting last Monday as the squad secured a 70-29 victory. The rematch might be a little tougher for Hickory H since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
