Trabuco Hills secured a 66-61 W over San Juan Hills on Wednesday. Having run the score up that high, both teams might be doing some extra defensive drills very soon.
Trabuco Hills got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Matt Mowers out in front who dropped a double-double on 15 points and ten rebounds. Mowers has been hot recently, having posted eight or more rebounds the last six times he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Arshia Amini, who scored 11 points along with five rebounds and two steals.
Mason Hodges and Nathan Brosch certainly did their best on Wednesday to avoid the loss. Hodges shot 4-for-5 from deep and dropped a double-double on 27 points and 12 rebounds, while Brosch scored 17 points along with five steals. Hodges is on a roll when it comes to rebounds, as he's now pulled down eight or more in the last 20 games he's played. Another player making a difference was Adam Aziz, who scored seven points.
Trabuco Hills' win was their fourth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 20-7. As for San Juan Hills, their defeat dropped their record down to 17-10.
Trabuco Hills will be playing in front of their home fans against San Clemente at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Trabuco Hills knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with flashy point totals in its past three games -- so hopefully San Clemente likes a good challenge. As for San Juan Hills, they will be playing at home against Tesoro at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. San Juan Hills has been dominant on offense recently, as they've racked up an incredible 212 points over their last three matches.
