The Maritime Academy Charter Seadogs will look to defend their home court on Tuesday against the Northeast Vikings at 3:15 p.m. Maritime Academy Charter will be strutting in after a win while Northeast will be coming in after a loss.
Maritime Academy Charter had to travel to play their first game of the season, but the final result was worth the trip. They were the clear victor by a 65-45 margin over Community Academy of Philadelphia.
Maritime Academy Charter can attribute much of their success to Zibri Miller, who dropped a double-double on 12 points and 25 rebounds, and Jadin Aviles, who scored 19 points along with 9 steals and 4 blocks. Another player making a difference was Andy Figueroa, who scored 8 points along with 4 steals.
Meanwhile, Northeast ended up a good deal behind Pennsbury on Saturday and lost 52-33.
Maritime Academy Charter's win bumped their record up to 1-0. As for Northeast, their loss dropped their record down to 1-1.
