Even though Evadale scored an imposing 63 points on Thursday, Corrigan-Camden still came out on top. Corrigan-Camden snuck past Evadale with a 67-63 win.
It was another big night for Tony Cooper, who scored 34 points along with six steals. The contest was his 17th in a row with at least ten points. Brodgrick Price was another key contributor, scoring six points along with 11 rebounds and six blocks.
Meanwhile, Coldspring-Oakhurst ended up a good deal behind Crockett last Tuesday and lost 64-49. While losing is never fun, Coldspring-Oakhurst can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 507th, while Crockett is ranked 195th).
Corrigan-Camden pushed their record up to 14-3 with that victory, which was their fourth straight at home. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 74.5 points per game. As for Coldspring-Oakhurst, they have not been sharp recently, as they've lost three of their last four contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 12-5 record this season.
Corrigan-Camden suffered a grim 71-49 defeat to Coldspring-Oakhurst in their previous meeting on December 2nd. Can Corrigan-Camden avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
