Union Pines took Lee County into a fifth set where they got it done with a two-point win. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-17, 18-25, 21-25, 25-19, 16-14.
Madeline Adair paced Union Pines' offense, picking up 35 kills. Adair got some help from Allie Bauer and her 27 assists. Katie Burley controlled things from the service line, finishing with three aces.
Union Pines' victory bumped their record up to 18-2. As for Lee County, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 11-8.
