The Westlake Thunder scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Friday. Couldn't have asked for a better start to 2024 than the 63-10 blowout they got at home against Granger. Westlake might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team's won four contests by 25 points or more this season.
Westlake was led to victory by Cj Cox and Chloe Jensen. Cox scored eight points along with five assists and five rebounds, while Jensen scored 18 points. That makes it three consecutive games in which Jensen has scored at least 25% of Westlake's points. Another player making a difference was Austyn Feller, who scored nine points.
Westlake has been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six games, which provided a nice bump to their 9-4 record this season. As for Granger, they are on a nine-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-9.
Westlake will be playing in front of their home fans against Skyridge at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Granger, they will head out on the road to face off against Kearns at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
