The Coalfield Yellow Jackets lost against the Rockwood Tigers back in December of 2022, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. Coalfield took a 55-40 bruising from Rockwood. Coalfield has not had much luck with Rockwood recently, as the team's come up short the last three times they've met.
It was another big night for Ty'varion Pryor, who dropped a double-double on 32 points and 11 rebounds for Rockwood. That makes it four consecutive games in which Pryor has scored at least 25% of Rockwood's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Alexander Norton, who scored 14 points along with 3 steals.
Coalfield's loss dropped their record down to 0-2. As for Rockwood, their victory bumped their record up to 3-1.
Coalfield will head out on the road to face off against Scott at 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Rockwood, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Sale Creek at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
