The Lebanon Greyhounds had to endure a three-game losing streak, but that streak is no more. They pulled ahead with a 45-44 photo finish over Maryville Christian. That's another feather in the cap for Lebanon, who also won these teams' last head-to-head.
Maryville Christian lost on Saturday despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Levi Gray, who scored 22 points along with seven rebounds and four steals. Those four steals set a new season-high mark for him. The team also got some help courtesy of Logan Schwenk, who scored 14 points.
Lebanon's victory bumped their record up to 4-7. As for Maryville Christian, they bumped their record down to 1-9 with that defeat, which was their sixth straight at home.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Lebanon and New Athens will face off at 7:30 p.m. on December 19th without much rest after finishing up games yesterday. Maryville Christian and Southwestern will face off at 7:30 p.m. on December 19th without much rest after finishing up games yesterday. Hopefully Southwestern focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 13 on Saturday.
