After a string of ten wins, The Clarksville Wildcats''s good fortune finally ran out on Friday. They and Collierville were almost perfectly matched up, but Clarksville suffered an agonizing 23-22 defeat.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Collierville to victory, but perhaps none more so than Grant Troutman, who rushed for 15 yards and a touchdown, and also threw for 102 yards and a touchdown while completing 80% of his passes. Another player making a difference was Joakim Dodson, who picked up 106 receiving yards and a touchdown.
Clarksville's defeat dropped their record down to 10-1. As for Collierville, their win was their third straight on the road, which bumped their overall record up to 8-3.
Clarksville does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Collierville will head out on the road to face off against Houston at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Houston has been dominant on offense recently, as they've racked up an incredible 174 points over their last four contests.
