Utica Academy of Science's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Doneilious King j.r, who scored 20 points along with nine rebounds and four steals. King j.r has been hot recently, having posted 15 or more points the last three times he's played. Akol Machteng was another key contributor, scoring 14 points along with nine rebounds and four steals.
Bishop Grimes' defeat dropped their record down to 7-5. As for Utica Academy of Science, their victory bumped their record up to 2-11.
Bishop Grimes will look to defend their home court on Friday against Bishop Ludden at 7:45 p.m. Bishop Ludden is hoping to put an end to a three-game streak of away losses. As for Utica Academy of Science, they will head out on the road to face off against Corcoran at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Corcoran is coming into the game on a three-game losing streak.
