Basketball Recap: Clay County Christian Academy Snaps Six-Game Streak of Losses on the Road

Clay County Christian Academy's game last Friday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Friday. They blew past the Valley Fellowship Christian Academy n/a 64-38. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest victory the Eagles have posted since January 11, 2024.

Clay County Christian Academy got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Cohen McDonald out in front who shot 4-for-4 from deep and dropped a double-double on 15 points and ten rebounds. Those ten boards gave McDonald a new career-high. Brodie Watts was another key player, putting up 16 points along with seven rebounds and four steals.

Clay County Christian Academy smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with ten offensive rebounds. That's the most offensive boards they've managed all season.

Clay County Christian Academy's victory ended a six-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 4-8. As for Valley Fellowship Christian Academy, their defeat was their tenth straight at home dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 0-9.

Clay County Christian Academy wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next game, a 46-37 loss against Tabernacle on the 30th. Valley Fellowship Christian Academy has also already played their next contest, a 65-31 defeat against Life Christian Academy on the 28th.
