The Lawrenceville Indians won the last time they faced the Martinsville Bluestreaks, and things went their way on Wednesday too. Lawrenceville breezed by Martinsville on the road to the tune of 57-21.
Lawrenceville's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Addeline Sanders, who scored 13 points along with five rebounds. Another player making a difference was Kenidee Boldt, who scored 14 points.
Lawrenceville's victory bumped their record up to 6-10. As for Martinsville, they still haven't won a game yet this season and fell to 0-12.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Lawrenceville's road trip will continue as they head out to face Newton at 6:00 p.m. on January 4th. Newton presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than Lawrenceville in Illinois (Newton is ranked 200th, while Lawrenceville is ranked 529th). As for Martinsville, they will head out on the road to face off against Dugger Union on Saturday. Dugger Union is on a three-game streak of home losses, Martinsville a 19-game streak of away losses (dating back to last season), but someone's luck is about to change.
