Rocky Mountain has gone a perfect 10-0 against Centennial recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Thursday. Rocky Mountain will challenge Centennial at 5:00 p.m. Keep an eye on the score for this one: the two teams posted some lofty run totals in their previous games.
Rocky Mountain barely beat Thunder Ridge the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. Rocky Mountain put the hurt on Thunder Ridge with a sharp 11-1 win on Saturday. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Grizzlies.
Danica Quinn made a splash no matter where she played. On the mound, she struck out seven batters over five innings while giving up just one earned run off four hits (and only one walk). She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't given up more than two walks in ten consecutive appearances. She was also big at the plate, scoring two runs while going 1-for-2.

In other batting news, Aubrey Sorensen and Tayler Klozcko did most of the damage at the plate: Sorensen went a perfect 1-for-1 with one home run and four RBI, while Klozcko scored a run while going 3-for-3. Those four RBI gave Sorensen a new career-high. Hadley Griggs was another key player, going 1-for-2 with one home run, two runs, and two RBI.
Meanwhile, Centennial faced Highland in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Saturday. Centennial was the clear victor by a 15-4 margin over Highland. The Patriots have beaten the Rams the last four times they've met, but they better watch out: this was the closest the Rams has come to flipping the script.
Like Rocky Mountain, Centennial also got a great game from a two-way player: Charlize Veldhouse'27. She tossed 2.2 innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. That one hit allowed gave Veldhouse'27 a new career-low. She was also solid in the batter's box, going 2-for-3 with three runs and one triple. That triple was her first of the season.
In other batting news, Centennial let Avery Simpson and Cali Moorhouse ?26 run wild. Simpson went a perfect 2-for-2 with one home run, three RBI, and two runs, while Moorhouse ?26 scored two runs while getting on base in all five of her plate appearances. Simpson also hit a double, marking her first of the season. Another player making a difference was Josie Moorhouse, who scored two runs and stole a base while going 1-for-4.
Centennial always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .525. They are a perfect 4-0 when they post an OBP of .513 or better.
Rocky Mountain now has a winning record of 7-6. As for Centennial, their record is now 7-5.
Everything went Rocky Mountain's way against Centennial in their previous matchup back in March of 2024, as Rocky Mountain made off with a 24-7 victory. Will Rocky Mountain repeat their success, or does Centennial has a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
