After a string of three wins, the Lone Jack Mules's good fortune finally ran out on Friday. They had to suffer through a rough 78-40 loss at the hands of Summit Christian Academy. Lone Jack has not had much luck with Summit Christian Academy recently, as the team's come up short the last three times they've met.
Despite the defeat, Lone Jack had strong showings from Tyler Carpenter, who scored eight points along with six rebounds, and Garrett Mantzey, who scored 13 points. Another player making a difference was Thatcher Kamolz, who scored three points along with five assists and three steals.
Summit Christian Academy got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Kash Pritchard out in front who dropped a double-double on 16 points and ten rebounds. Max Rieger was another key contributor, scoring 14 points along with seven assists and five rebounds.
Lone Jack's loss ended a four-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 13-9. As for Summit Christian Academy, they are on a roll lately: they've won eight of their last nine contests, which provided a nice bump to their 18-6 record this season.
Lone Jack will stay at home for another game and welcome Pleasant Hill at 7:00 p.m. on February 12th. Lone Jack is facing Pleasant Hill at the right time seeing as Pleasant Hill is stuck on a ten-game losing streak. Summit Christian Academy will be staying on the road on Monday to face off against St. Michael the Archangel at 8:00 p.m. on February 12th. St. Michael the Archangel is coming into the match with six straight victories at home, so Summit Christian Academy is out to stop a squad with plenty of momentum.
