The Windsor Charter Academy Firebirds fell just short of the Greeley Central Wildcats by a score of  3-2 on Wednesday. The Firebirds have struggled against the Wildcats recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive lost meetings.
 Windsor Charter Academy took Greeley Central into a fifth set  but they suffered a heartbreaking six-point loss. The match finished with set scores of 25-13, 25-15, 19-25, 18-25,  15-9.
 Emmitt Richardson paced Windsor Charter Academy's offense, picking up eight kills. Richardson got some help from  Taylor Smith and his 12 assists. Finally,  Richardson was also a dominant defender, finishing with a team-high five blocks.
Windsor Charter Academy now  has a losing record of 1-2. As for Greeley Central,  with the  victory, they broke their three-game losing streak and moved their record to 2-3.
 Coming up, Windsor Charter Academy is taking a road trip to  square off against Rocky Mountain Prep SMART  at 5:00  p.m.  on Monday. Greeley Central will get to enjoy the win for a while: their next game is against Poudre at 5:30  p.m.  on March 26th.
