After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Glenwood Springs, the Eagle Valley Devils were happy to have found some success on Saturday. They breezed by Conifer on the road to the tune of 55-18. The high-flying offensive effort was a huge turnaround for Eagle Valley considering their 22-point performance the game before.
Eagle Valley's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Zakia Shreeve, who scored ten points along with three steals. Sienna Marana was another key contributor, scoring 12 points.
Eagle Valley's win ended a three-game drought on the road and puts them at 8-13. As for Conifer, they are on a six-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-17.
Eagle Valley's road trip will continue as they head out to face Palisade at 5:30 p.m. on February 13th. Hopefully Eagle Valley focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 21 on Saturday. As for Conifer, they will head out on the road to challenge Wheat Ridge at 5:30 p.m. on Monday. Conifer comes in on a streak of failing to score more than 24 points in their last six games, a trend the squad is of course eager to reverse.
