Collins has gone 8-2 against Shelby County recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Tuesday. The Titans will be playing in front of their home fans against the Rockets at 6:00 p.m. Keep an eye on the score for this one: the two teams posted some lofty run totals in their previous games.
As a matter of fact, Collins put up the most runs they have all season on Monday. They blew past Jeffersontown 21-3. The Titans haven't had any issues with the Chargers recently, as the game was their fifth consecutive win against them.
Breanna Morris made a big impact no matter where she played. She looked comfortable on the mound, not allowing a single earned run over five innings pitched. Morris was also big at the plate, going 1-for-3 with three runs, one stolen base, and one RBI. Those three runs gave her a new career-high.

In other batting news, Betsy England and Brooke Peterman did most of the damage at the plate: England went 4-for-5 with three runs, four RBI, and one triple, while Peterman went 2-for-3 with one home run, three runs, and three RBI. Those three runs gave Peterman a new career-high. Maggie Renfro was another key player, going 1-for-4 with two stolen bases, two runs, and two RBI.
Collins always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .595. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.
Meanwhile, Shelby County was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They fell 16-11 to Portland Christian. Even if the Rockets couldn't come away with the victory, the high-scoring effort was a great turnaround for their hitters, which had struggled int the games prior.
Kaylee Cox made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and went 3-for-5 with three runs and one RBI. The team also got some help courtesy of Abby Blanton, who went 2-for-4 with three runs.
Collins pushed their record up to 8-4 with the win, which was their third straight on the road. Those road victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.0 runs on average over those games. As for Shelby County, their defeat dropped their record down to 3-11.
